Happy Holidays! We are back with four brand new stories, never published before! We also have an especially strong lineup of authors this month. Our story topics include gay lovers and the undead, a mysterious alien hitchhiker, a battle between two immortals and a river marriage. At least one of these topics will recur in our next issue, so stay tuned for more!

Our holiday fundraising drive is also now in effect! Expanded Horizons wants to take the next step in publishing and go “semi-pro”! If everyone who read our magazine gave $5, we would have enough money to cover all of next year’s expenses, and to increase the pay rate for our contributors. If everyone gave $10, we could go semi-pro for all stories.

Please show your support of diverse speculative fiction this holiday season and help us take that step. If you’ve been reading us all year and enjoy what we publish, please show your appreciation by contributing to our sustainability.

This is a quite bloody issue – in one story, you will be able to witness the magical twist in a battle between Malaysian villagers and Portuguese invaders, while in another, you will see a powerful young dragon-like creature clash with humans – from the dragon’s point of view. We also have a third story, a romantic tale with dark and mystical undertones.
